We find a date that works for you, you book in and pay a 50% deposit to secure your Author VIP Design Day experience!

You submit your updates wishlist and send any content needed to complete your updates. This will need to be ready one week before your Author VIP Design Day date.

I spend the day working through your to-do list. We can also have a video call to discuss anything – or if you’d prefer to just spend the day writing your next book, then that’s absolutely fine too!
04
At the end of the day, I send over your refreshed website, you pay the final 50%, and shout about your beautiful updated website to the world!

Hi! I’m Charlotte Duckworth, and I’ve been designing beautiful Squarespace websites for authors for 6 years now, making a name as the UK’s leading author website designer.
I’ve built more than 50 author websites, many for Sunday Times bestselling authors. I love sharing my knowledge to help my fellow authors harness the power of technology to build their career dreams.
Oh and I’m also an author myself! I’ve had 7 novels traditionally published (one was a USA Today bestseller!), and my eighth is coming out in 2026.
So I know exactly what you need on your author website to make sure it does your writing career justice!

An Author VIP Design Day package costs £1000. This is split into two payments: £500 to secure your date in my calendar and £500 once the day is completed.
Please note, my services do not include Squarespace hosting fees or custom domain name which are purchased separately by you. You can see a list of all Squarespace pricing plans here.

I am not currently VAT registered so no!

Before embarking on your design day, you will need to have any content, including photography and site copy, ready, plus a ‘punch list’ of your required updates, in order of priority.

No! All assets for your design day (copy, images etc) must be available a week beforehand, but you don’t need to be at your computer on the design day itself.

Before the day arrives, I’ll take a look at your priority list and advise whether or not it looks as though we will be able to fit everything in.
However, this is very rarely an issue as I work super quickly (and can even build an entire website from scratch in 7-8 hours!) but if it looks as though it might be a problem we can discuss booking in a second design day at a reduced rate.

I only work on Squarespace, so if you have a Wordpress or Wix website then I’m afraid I am not the designer for you!

If it’s a VERY simple, one-page website with minimal content then potentially. If not, then you’d be better served by my Author Website in a Day package.
