Project Spotlight: paulagreenlees.com

paula greenlees website

Oh I’m so excited to be blogging about this website! The perfect design to get us all in the mood for the summer after the long days of winter and lockdown. Debut author Paula Greenlees writes historical fiction set in far-flung climes and wanted a website that reflected the exotic themes in her novel.

The Brief

I always say this but this site is one of my recent favourites! Paula’s debut novel Journey to Paradise is set in post-war Singapore, and is out later this year. Paula was keen to encompass both the historical element of her novel as well as the fact that it is set in the Far East within her website design.

She was looking for a smart, classic, design, with a modern twist, and it was important to her that the site was bright and inspiring. She also had a very busy and bold cover, so we wanted the website to complement this rather than fight against it.

Paula was keen to use inspirational images as headers on each page of the website to create atmosphere and reflect the tropical setting of her novel.

Paula also wanted to incorporate a blog on the site, to further entice readers to learn more about the worlds within her stories.
